American Recover and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Home Owners can get rebates on home improvements. Now currently in place is the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This Act will have save homeowners thousands. The pure essence of the American Recover and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will provide tax credits to home owners that are in the market for home improvements.
Homeowners will save 30% of cost of project or up to $1,500 on energy efficient heating systems, appliances, windows or doors if installed within the next two years. All home improvement installations must be for the homeowner’s primary residence.
If you are in the market for solar water heating systems, solar energy panels, geothermal heat pumps, and wind turbines are not limited to $1,500 and are good for 30% of the complete project cost.
All the home improvement products have energy-efficiency requirements.
The type of home improvement products eligible for these tax credits include but are not limited to:
• Metal roofs
• Asphalt Shingle Roofs
• Central Air Conditioning
• Heat Pumps
• Geothermal Heat Pumps
• Water Heaters
• Solar Water Heating Systems
• Furnaces & Boilers
• Energy Star Appliances
• Replacement Windows & Skylights
• Insulation (excluding Exterior Siding)
• Exterior Doors
• Wind Turbines
• Solar Photovoltaic Panels

This act also helps increase demand for green products, reduce wasted energy, and give homeowners more disposable income with lower utility bills and to create more American jobs.
